Always on top of the facts

Offering practical, cost-effective advice whatever the subject matter or value of the claim, our expert team covers the full commercial dispute portfolio.

Fair but firm

Where a dispute cannot be avoided, we have a reputation for being fair, but firm. And we believe alternative dispute resolution (ADR) can be an effective way to resolve disputes when supported by the parties. Should litigation remain the only option, however, we’re strategic and effective.

Our 10-partner contentious practice is the largest department in the firm and continues to grow offering particular expertise in disputes relating to property plus trusts, wills and probate.

Litigation cases can also frequently involve:

  • Employment
  • Matrimony
  • Partnerships
  • Shareholders and company law
  • Finance and banking
  • Court of Protection
  • Judicial Review
  • Injunctions

Well connected for the higher courts

With many of our clients’ disputes combining a commercial/financial angle with a London connection, much of our work takes place before the higher courts. By serving client needs effectively from either our Salisbury or Lincoln’s Inn Fields offices, we operate very cost-effectively.

Pragmatic, effective and with many regarded as leading practitioners in their respective fields, members of our team belong to professional bodies such as:

  • The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)
  • The Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS)
  • The Property Litigation Association
  • The Agricultural Law Association
  • The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
