As a nationally recognised private client practice, we have been looking after our clients’ estates for over 275 years. We are an integral part of the Wilsons service, ensuring that our clients’ wealth is protected and distributed on their death in accordance with their wishes.

During 2005/2006 we dealt with the distribution of estates totalling over £220,000,000. Over half of these were complex estates with over 35% of the estates being worth well over £1,000,000.

In addition:

• 14% of our clients’ estates had foreign assets
• 20% of our clients’ estates had aggregated trusts
• 13% of our clients’ estates included agricultural or business property
• 2% of our clients’ estates had heritage assets

We have a team of seven working exclusively on probate matters for private clients and charities as well as corporate bodies. Our expertise has been developed over the years by the quality of work we do. Our team is accustomed to dealing with complex work with sensitivity and understanding.

Our goal is to manage the distribution of assets in a way that achieves the desires of the deceased in a financially efficient manner.
