Training & Development
Career development is of key importance; we offer training in-house and from a range of third parties covering everything from “soft skills” and IT to specific legal issues.
We work on career planning with everyone throughout the firm through our annual appraisal process. This process identifies career development and training requirements. All newly qualified solicitors do the Law Society Management course.
Our specialist legal training is delivered in a variety of ways, from web based training, cascade training and courses provided by legal trainers. We also have training provided by Law South (our regional association) who arranges joint courses for member firms.
We also hold sector specific training with other organisations like accountants and agents. One of our tax events has been held each year for the past 20 years in conjunction with Peter Trevett QC of 11 New Square, Lincolns Inn, London.
We carry out staff surveys to monitor the effectiveness of our training programme and other issues.
