Jane Weston

Consultant

Jane is a property and planning solicitor in Wilsons' Landowner Development & Planning team.  Jane trained at Moore Blatch and spent the majority of the 80s working for developers on planning appeals.  She joined Wilsons in 1999 as a consultant and since then has acted predominantly for landowners, be they estates, farmers, charities, parish councils and private individuals.

Jane now deals with all aspects of property and planning law, including appeals, enforcement, options and sales and purchases.  A large part of her caseload involves negotiating section 106 agreements (especially on behalf of parish councils).  She is also called upon to advise in relation to certificates of lawfulness and agricultural ties (ag tags).

Outside of work Jane is Chair of the governors at Bishop Wordsworth's School, vice chair of her local parish council and a safeguarding officer for her local church.  Jane takes an active role in the community and with local charities (for example the Memorial Hall in her village and Horatio's Garden).  When she does get some spare time she enjoys skiing, trips to the theatre, history of art lectures and watching her son play rugby.
