Military Charity Trustee Training, 2 June 2011

02/06/2011

Interpreting the duties and responsibilities of a charity trustee can be extremely difficult, not to mention keeping up to date with the seemingly endless changes in the law.

Following last year's successful seminar COBSEO have asked Wilsons Solicitors LLP, again together with BlackRock, managers of the Armed Forces Common Investment Fund (AFCIF), to host a seminar for military charity trustees covering their legal and financial obligations. The full programme is below.

The seminar, to be held in conjunction with COBSEO, has been tailored specifically for trustees of services related charities, be they currently serving as trustees, have retired as trustees or are considering becoming trustees.

The half day event is offered free of charge and will take place on Thursday 2 June 2011 at the Army and Navy Club, 36-39 Pall Mall, London, SW1Y 5JN.  Registration will take place at 0930 hours, the seminar will start at 0955 hours and we will finish with lunch at approximately 1330 hours.

To book your/your trustees place(s) please contact Sophie Lucas, Office Manager COBSEO officemanager@cobseo.org.uk on 0845 504 6633 or Mike Bray, COBSEO Secretary secretary@cobseo.org.uk on 0845 504 6630. If you have a burning question or subject you would like to have covered in the presentations or Open Forum, please send them to Sophie or Mike.
