The number of lawyers that have trained, qualified and stayed with us is a testament to our trainee programme. If you show willingness and aptitude you will be given responsibility in the early stages of your career, in fact, it is likely you will be dealing with clients in your first week.
Our two year training contract will enable you to sample four disciplines in six-month seats across our different departments.
On joining, you will have a full induction including comprehensive IT and best practice training. You will also be assigned a mentor, normally an NQ or 1yr PQE solicitor who has trained and qualified with the firm. They will remain your mentor for the duration of your training contract and will be available to answer any queries you might have.
In each seat you will be assigned a supervisor, this is normally a partner or senior associate. They will be responsible for managing and supervising your workload and providing you with feedback on your progress. During each seat you will undergo two formal reviews, one at the mid-seat stage and one at the end of the seat. This is to ensure you are provided with regular feedback on your progress and areas for development.
We aim to employ the highest quality people our reputation relies on this. We look for applicants who have effective verbal and written communication skills, enthusiasm to learn and the ability to multitask and think clearly. We also place considerable emphasis on teamwork.
We recruit four trainees per year and a 2.1 degree or above from a top ranking university for your degree subject is a requirement.
The assessment day will be held on 17 August 2017
The deadline for training contracts to commence in September 2019 is 30 June 2017.
