Peter FitzGerald - partner
Peter’s areas of expertise include the law relating to farms and estates, transactions involving agricultural property, trust, tax and wills. He specialises in agricultural estates and heritage property.
Noted in Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession - 2008, as "The remarkably bright head of department Peter FitzGerald is a great lawyer, particularly in his specialist fields of wealth and succession matters for landed families and those with heritage assets." Interviewees regard him as "a man of substance, quiet in manner and offering cut glass advice."
Peter joined Wilsons from Fladgate Fielder where he trained and qualified in 1985. He became a partner in 1991 and joined Wilsons in 1995. Peter is a member of STEP, the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the Agricultural Law Association.
