Matthew Bennett - partner
Matthew is a partner and head of our private client team. He specialises in advising business owners and entrepreneurs on the management of their wealth and personal affairs, with a particular focus on tax. His clients include onshore and offshore trustees and both foreign and UK domiciled individuals. He also advises on wills, inheritance tax planning, asset structuring and all aspects of trusts.
Matthew joined Wilsons in November 2006, having formerly been a partner and the head of the owner-managed business unit in Osborne Clarke's private capital department. He joined Osborne Clarke in 1998 from Macfarlanes, after qualifying in 1994. Prior to that he spent four years as an Officer in the Royal Marines. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation as well as a qualified solicitor, and has sat on the Camelot panel advising National Lottery winners in both London and the West of England.
