Chris Nichols - consultant / notary public
Chris is City trained and qualified as a solicitor in 1972. He has been practising law in both Salisbury and Andover since 1975. He joined Wilsons in 2006 following 31 years at Parker Bullen, 11 of which were as managing partner. He has been a notary public for 22 years and is former clerk to the general commissioners of income tax as well as clerk to the trustees of St Nicholas Hospital, Salisbury.
He deals with most areas of property law specialising in commercial property work where he has extensive experience in development work and its related aspects such as options, conditional contracts and planning work.
He has also dealt with a substantial number of acquisitions and disposals of commercial property held as part of pension funds where he has acted for two of the largest national SIPP providers. This work has involved extensive experience in negotiating and advising on commercial leases.
Chris acts for an offshore limited liability partnership which owns a large warehousing estate and deals with all legal aspects in connection with leases of units on the estate. He has also headed teams advising this and other development clients in refinancing their property portfolios.
