Andrew Roberts - partner
Andrew Roberts is a partner in our commercial team who re-joined the firm in
Spring 2007, after seven years in London, where he worked at Linklaters and as the in-house legal adviser to the Labour Party.
After studying law at Cambridge University, Andrew trained at leading private client firm Boodle Hatfield and began his career as a corporate lawyer in their Southampton office. He has specialised in corporate recovery and finance work since the early 1990s, at DLA in London and then at Linklaters. He has wide experience of all types of UK and international insolvencies and restructurings, having acted on many of the leading cases of the last 20 years. He has extensive knowledge of many types of finance, and particular expertise in solvent liquidations. He was also a licensed Insolvency Practitioner for a number of years.
Andrew has recently completed a listing on the AIM market for a Salisbury-based company, which involved raising pre-IPO funding and taking all steps to Admission on AIM. The value of the company upon listing was £17.5 million. The commercial team has also acted on two separate company sales to US market leaders in the past year - one valued at $90 million and the other at $115 million.
