Alison specialises in rural property matters, in particular, in acting for landowners on development of predominantly green field sites throughout the South of England. She acts on the residential development of major sites (50 plus houses), employment development and light industrial development. She acts for banks in the taking of security over agricultural property and development land.

The 2009 edition of the Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession lists the "quite outstanding" Alison as a leader in her field, with sources also highlighting her for being “very approachable and friendly." Wilsons is also listed in Chambers as a leading provider of services to the rural property sector.
